Concerto Night
Students enrolled in a performing ensemble* can tryout for concerto night. This concert showcases students performing a single movement of a concerto with the CCHS Symphony Orchestra. Auditions are Wednesday, November 18, 2020. It is competitive and students hoping to win a spot on the concert should prepare themselves as well as possible. Students should prepare a single movement to perform for the audition. The best auditions win spots on the concert. Grade level is only considered where the audition is deemed equal to one another. Students are encouraged to audition on their primary instrument (or voice) they play in their performing group. Pianists may audition, but where the audition is equal to another student, those auditioning on their primary instrument will be selected. Winning performances may be cut down in length to accommodate the difficulty of the orchestra parts, or length of the concerto night as determined by the music director.
